This is the eve of my first sabbatical. While the word "sabbatical" comes from the same root as "sabbath" and means a type of rest, I have a feeling the next six months will be filled with activity. The change of pace will be a rest of sorts from the usual daily routine of library work, and I'm looking forward to having time to write and present at conferences I wouldn't usually be able to attend.
