The best practice of strategic planning for a set time period is limiting the academic library’s ability to respond to emerging trends and patron needs. Integrated library planning builds on the foundation of strategic planning and applies practices from Integrated Business Planning to create a model for ongoing evaluation, assessment, and planning.
I was very excited to participate as a poster presenter at ACRL 2017. Whether or not we had a chance to visit at the conference, here is a takeaway about Integrated Library Planning. I have plans to write and speak about this more, so stay tuned!
